Mainstage Performance

February 9  -  March 4, 2018

Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2pm

Set in an enchanted forest in the days surrounding the Duke of Athens’ wedding, sparring lovers and a group of amateur actors become entangled in a battle between the King and Queen of the fairies." A Midsummer Night’s Dream" is a story of order and disorder, reality and appearance, and proves that the course of love never does run smooth. Filled with magic, fools in love, and bumbling buffoons, this dream is exceptionally enjoyable for the old and young alike.

The show is in the experienced hands of director Rodger McDonald.  McDonald is no stranger to the Opera House stage. He has directed such favorites as “Romeo and Juliet” and “Camelot” ,as well as starring as Captain Hook (“Peter Pan”), Harold Hill (“The Music Man”) and Henry Higgins (“My Fair Lady”).  McDonald will play the role of Oberon in this production along with other opera house regulars; Analise Langford as Helena, Patricia Glass as Titania, Jordan Hayakawa as Puck, Brent Randolph as Demetrius, and Steve Mackay as Quince. New to the opera house stage are Thomas Dean as Lysander, Rachel Foster as Hermia and Phil Stommel as Bottom. Other cast members include; Matt Franck, Jessica Hanselman, Hayden Taillon, Robert Payawal, Veronica Jarboe, Sarah Thompson, Katherine Coppola, Erin Bruni, Lora Kennedy, Marcus Lucia, Mary Dahlberg, Roxana Chan, Jennefer Sisneros, Stacey Hall and Corbyn Holt.
